Through his research, Jesus aims to bridge engineering, science, and art, for the deployment of arts as a form of therapy, education, and to explore basic human neuroscience questions. His contributions have produced tools and protocols to analyze human neural patterns in unconstrained artistic reflection / production, and social interactions. He is the inaugural recipient of the University of Houston — Houston Methodist Research Institute graduate fellowship in translational research.
